Numerosity in time and space

Image
Associate Seda Japp Ph.D. has published some of her work on numerosity in the journal  Cerebral Cortex . “Numerosity” is our approximate sense of how many objects are present. Humans are able to estimate “how many” when relevant visual feedback is available all at the same time, as well as when relevant visual feedback happens as a sequence across a duration. Seda’s work explores how neural systems represent numerosity from spatial information and from temporal information.  Click here for her article.
