Message to my company, clients, vendors, and study participants.

To my company, clients, vendors, and study participants: There is no place in this world for racism; we are one human race and diversity is beautiful. There is no place for police brutality; those in power carry the burden of learning how to wield that power justly. There is no place for silencing voices yearning to be heard; freedom of speech must be a universal freedom or it’s no true freedom at all.  Black lives matter. I’ve experienced racism in my own life, but nothing close or even remotely comparable to the racism experienced by Black and Brown communities in the US. I was spared the horror of what so many other people experience today by those who fought and continue to fight for equality. Black Lives Matter: Our Stance, Thoughts, and Actions

Black Lives Matter: Our Stance, Thoughts, and Actions By Colin Long and Pati Anderson At Core, we see, hear, and feel the pain in our community right now. The recent events are just a piece of a long horrific history of racism, police brutality, inequality, and violence in our country. The murder of George Floyd and countless other victims has left us heartbroken and outraged. We want to help. Our Stance: We believe in justice, equality, and human rights We must stand together against racism, inequality, and violence in our country. Black lives matter and we need an end to racial injustice. Law enforcement and the judicial system – as well as access to healthcare and medicine – in America is not working for all communities, so it’s not working for us. We stand with and care about Black, Indigenous, and communities of color. We want to be part of the solution to stop racial injustice and build a more inclusive and compassionate community. Not long after, we got confirmation from our governor that we were considered an essential business and could continue our research efforts. Having the permission to continue our work was only the first step on a long road back to running studies at our full capacity around the world - a road we are still navigating. At Core, our business goal is to help further medical device development and help our clients create usable Products that can come to market. We strongly believe that hitting “pause” on medical innovation is a damaging and even dangerous choice. Nevertheless, we make the safety of our particip
