Core Summer Party 2021!

  Core Summer Party 2021! Core had their summer party at Riddley Creek Park this year. This was our first in-person event since the start of the pandemic, needless to say, it was a blast! The event was filled with activities from water balloon toss contest, paper airplane contest, salsa dance lesson, corn hole, bocci ball, jenga and great conversations.   Welcome to Core! Core is excited to welcome Jack Sharples to the team! Keep reading to learn a little bit more about him.  What drew you to human factors and what drew you to Core? I used to work at a software company that designed banking/investment products, and I became interested in the decisions that went into how new features were designed, not just why we were implementing them for a business purpose. I realized that the people using the products were at the center of the story and I was drawn to human factors because I wanted to learn how to connect with users to make better tools. What is one fun fact about yourself? I’m a dual citizen of the US and the UK! What is your educational or professional background and how does it relate to your everyday job at Core? I have a Masters in Behavioral and Decision Sciences and I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how the design of our environments contributes to our judgements, decisions, and behaviors.
